Joshua Earnest Ph.D. an Electrical Engineer has a long experience of 42 years, which includes the initial 6 years in the industry and the remaining 36 years as a professor at NITTTR, Bhopal. In addition to training of engineering faculty across the country and overseas, he has worked in various areas of engineering education specialising in Curriculum Development, Student Assessment, Laboratory Instruction, Online and Offline Instructional System Design and Development. Apart from books and modules, a number of papers related to these areas have been published at national and international conferences and journals. His other area of specialisation is wind power technology with two popular books to his credit—Wind Power Plants and Project Development and Wind Power Technology, published by PHI Learning. He is the pioneer of online training in wind power since 2004. He has also been a Wind Power resource expert to Gotland (now Uppsala) University, Sweden, LIFE Academy, Karlstad, Sweden, University of Namibia, Windhoek and China Electric Research Institute, Beijing, China.
Shashi Kant Gupta Ph.D. has a long experience of 38 years in industry and academics. He initially worked for 10 years as Power Transformer Design Engineer at Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) Bhopal followed by 28 years as a professor at NITTTR, Bhopal. Besides training engineering faculty all these years, his main areas of work and research have been Student Assessment, Curriculum Development, Assessment Reforms, Professional Development, Evaluation of Educational Programmes and Projects. The vast knowledge that he gained is also seen in the NITTT modules—Professional Ethics and Sustainability and ARPIT modules related to Student Assessment being offered on SWAYAM platform under Ministry of Education, Government of India for upgrading and upskilling of competencies of Higher Education and Engineering faculty around the country.
