A. K. CHATTERJI, D.Sc., Formerly Professor of Applied Botany and Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur; and Formerly Emeritus Fellow, School of Environmental Science, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, is an eminent cytogeneticist. He is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Genetics and Linnean Society of London.

Dr. Chatterji’s teaching and research experience spans more than 35 years in different areas of genetics and biotechnology including environmental microbiology and pollution bioabatement. He was a Fullbright Post-Doctoral Fellow to North Carolina State University, USA. A recipient of many awards and recognitions, he has to his credit nearly 100 research articles published in reputed national and international journals.
