SUNIL D. PUROHIT, Professor and Head, Department of Botany, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He has been teaching Botany and Biotechnology for the last 30 years and is a member of Board of Studies/Committee of Courses. He is Fellow of Plant Tissue Culture Association (India) and Life Member of Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology, Indian Society of Plant Genetic Resources and The Horticultural Society of India, New Delhi. Professor Purohit has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals and has authored/edited 16 books. Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi awarded him Young Scientist’ Travel Grant to visit United Kingdom. He also received SERC Visiting Fellowship to undergo specialized training in Molecular Biology in the Department of Plant Molecular Biology at Delhi University.
