N. Sukumar Gowda (Ph.D. in English Language Curriculum from the University of Toronto) is Founder-Director of Centre for Studies in Education, Puttur (D.K.), Karnataka since 1995. He is also engaged in educational activities such as inservice teacher training, student counselling and clinical service, and research and publication.
Earlier, Dr. Sukumar Gowda worked as Professor and Director of Manipal Institute of Languages, Udupi (1987–1991), Visiting Professor in the Department of English, Mangalore University (1991–1997), and as Resource Person at various workshop and teacher training programmes organized by the Department of Public Instruction and other organizations. He has over 20 years of teaching experience in the field of education. His academic specializations include ‘Curriculum Theory and Practice’, ‘Reading and Writing Education’, ‘Empirical Research Methodology in Education’, and ‘Learning Disability and Remediation’.
