GANESH PRASAD SRIVASTAVA, Ph.D., after a distinguished academic career of more than fifty years, retired as Professor of Electronics from the University of Delhi where he taught Microwave Electronics for more than thirty-five years. He has worked with Nobel Laureate Professor Gehard Herzberg at National Research Council of Canada. His other assignments included work at the University of Sheffield, U.K.; University of Queensland, Australia; University of Piere-et Marie Curie, France; and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
Professor Srivastava has published more than 200 papers in leading National and International journals. Forty-eight students earned Ph.D. degree working with him.
VIJAY LAXMI GUPTA is Reader in the Department of Electronic Science, University of Delhi. She has taught Microwave Electronics and other subjects to M.Sc. and M.Tech. courses for more than twenty-six years. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Delhi in the area of optoelectronics. Her research interests include plasma physics and optoelectronics. She has published over 35 research papers in the area of optoelectronic devices.
