N.K. JAYAKUMAR, Ph.D., is Professor and Head, Department of Law, and Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Kerala. He has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students of law for the last three decades. Professor Jayakumar has authored several books and published a number of research papers in leading law journals. He has been Visiting Fellow, Australian National University, Canberra in 1987 and Visiting Professor, Vienna University, Austria in 1998. A recipient of several medals and awards, Prof. Jayakumar is involved in teaching and research in such areas as administrative law, jurisprudence, international law, and human rights.
