G. NARAHARI SASTRY, PhD., is Professor and Head of Fifth Paradigm Lab, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He is also holding the post of Dean, R&D at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. Earlier, he has been the Director of CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat, Assam. He has been trained as computational chemist and has worked extensively in the interdisciplinary areas employing computational modeling, informatics, and simulations over the last 36 years as an independent researcher. Prof. Sastry has guided about 60 Post-docs and Ph.D. students and currently about 10 people are working in the group. He has published over 340 papers, and has many awards, such as ‘Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize’, ‘Swarna Jayanthi Fellowship’, ‘BM Birla Prize’, ‘JC Bose Fellowship’ to mention a few. He is also a fellow of the three science academies of India. He is currently focusing on the effective use of data science and its integration with computational modeling and informatics in Life Sciences and Chemistry.
HRIDOY JYOTI MAHANTA, Ph.D., is Scientist in the Advanced Computation and Data Sciences Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam. He is currently working in applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the areas of natural sciences like Chemistry, Biology, Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, Geo Sciences, Mathematical Modelling, etc. He has published more than 36 papers in diverse areas of natural sciences and has expertise in developing software, web servers and databases.
ASHEESH KUMAR, Ph.D., is Project Scientist-I in Advanced Computation and Data Sciences Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam. His interest spans multiple disciplines, including Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Computer-Aided Drug Design, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Also, he has worked under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) G. N. Sastry.
SELVARAMAN NAGAMANI, Ph.D., is Scientist in the Advanced Computation and Data Sciences Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam. He specializes in Computational Drug Discovery, Software Development, Network Science, and Machine Learning applications in drug discovery and healthcare. He has been working in diverse research areas, including Bioinformatics, Chemoinformatics, Machine Learning, and Software/Database Development. He also received the DST–SERB sponsored NationalPostdoctoral Fellowship.
