Akhil Kumar Das holds BTech (ChE) from IIT Delhi and MS (Fire Protection Engineering) from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA. Currently, he is a practising QHSE consultant and trainer besides being Visiting Professor at different institutions like the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun. He served as Head of Fire Safety Engineering & Management of the International College of Engineering & Management, Muscat, Oman.
