Neelima Asthana is Associate Professor in the Department of Education, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. She has been teaching core issues of educational theory, pedagogical aspects, equity, diversity and quality in education along with disability, inclusion and inclusive schooling. She has a long experience of teaching, learning and research in the field of educational needs of children with special needs and inclusive education.
Dr. Neelima Asthana has contributed several chapters on disability and inclusion in edited books. Also, she has published research papers in journals and presented papers in various conferences and seminars at national and international levels. Besides, she is continuously engaged in supervising doctoral and postgraduate research students. She has co-edited books on “Inclusion for Learning”, “Learning and Education towards Best Practices”, “Learning: Trends, Needs and Opportunities”, “Inclusive Education: Issues, Challenges and Possibilities”, “Learning Teachers: Diversity, Inclusion and Ethics”, “Learning Issues and Aspects”, and “Community Education and Development: Technical Series-4”. She has also co-authored the book “Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation: Issues and Concerns”.
