About Author  FAISAL AHMED (MIBM, PhD) is Associate Professor of International Business and Chairman of the International Business Area at FORE School of Management, New Delhi. He has also taught at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi as a visiting faculty. He has more than eleven years of experience as an academic, researcher and trade policy consultant working with business schools and think tanks in India and abroad. A former Associate Director with CUTS International, Dr. Ahmed also held the positions of Assistant Professor, Programme Director (International Business Programme) and Chairman of Economics and Business Policy Area. His research and consulting areas include Indian economy, economic integration, least developed countries, WTO issues, and trade and geopolitics. He has published several research papers, policy papers, chapters in edited book, monographs, case studies and articles in national and international publications.

About Author  M. ABSAR ALAM (MA in economics) is Economist and Consultant with Asian Institute of Transport Development (AITD), a New Delhi-based think tank having special consultative status with the United Nations. Prior to this, he worked as Economist with RITES Ltd. As an economic and transport facilitation expert, he has also been engaged as a Consultant with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for updation of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Transport Infrastructure and Logistics Study (BTILS). He has also published articles and research papers on subjects related to macroeconomic environment and international trade. His areas of consulting and research include macroeconomic studies, infrastructure development, regional cooperation and trade facilitation.
