Lucky 13 clear NTSE from Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: Thirteen students from city have made it to the national-level National Talent Search Examination. More than 2,000 students had appeared for the examination that was coordinated by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Chandigarh. National Talent Search Examination is the most prestigious scholarship exam for school students.

Out of the 13 students, Karan Mittal, a student of Delhi Public School, topped from city by scoring 124 marks out of 140. Other students who cleared the state level included Aashish Waikar (who stood second with 123 marks), Ankush Jindal (who stood third with 120 marks), Uddhav Agarwal, Basudhara Mete, Himanshu Bansal, Vaibhav Gupta, Jeetika, Rushil Gupta, Jannat Bedi, Jagdeep Singh, Gayatri Lal and Prabal Saha.

Two students from Haryana also qualified NTSE Stage 1.They are Sarvesh Mehtani and Lovish Gulati.

Aptitude weighs:

The written examination included Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), which included tests in language and aptitude. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) covered physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, political science, economics and mathematics of Classes IX and X level.
