MUMBAI: The results for common admission test (CAT)-2014 will be announced on Saturday when it will be uploaded on the official website in the evening.
Convenor of CAT-2014 professor Rohit Kapoor from IIM-Indore confirmed that the results were ready and would be uploaded on the site.
CAT results are usually announced in the second week of January. This year, the dates were not announced in advance, but IIM-Indore had set the deadline at the third week of December.
Around 1.75 lakh students appeared for the exam on November 16 and 22. An official said TCS, which had held the test on behalf of the IIMs, had already provided the scores but they would be announced only after fairness check. The institute had to ensure that the results were glitch-free and the process was transparent, the official said.
Several changes in the test pattern were introduced by the IIMs this year. Following the modification, students found the paper easier than previous years and more candidates attempted over half the questions, without fearing for negative marking.
